CLASSES UNDER COVID
For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, classes will be run according to the Covid Protection Framework rules in force at the time. Under the orange "traffic light" level, all students must be double-vaccinated and wear masks during the class. Proof of vaccine status will be required.
We offer a range of ways of learning: face-to-face classes with a tutor in small groups in our classroom; DIY kit sets and a one-to-one service with our experienced teachers [$40 for 30 minutes]. We also have free videos that will show you simple tips and tricks for both sewing and knitting projects.
Enrolment Terms and Conditions
All classes need a minimum number to go ahead. If we need to cancel, we'll contact you and offer a full refund or a transfer to another class. If you cancel, as long as you let us know at least 5 working days in advance, we'll refund you, minus a 10% admin fee.
If you pay but don't attend, or cancel fewer than 5 days in advance, we regret that a refund or transfer will only be made in exceptional circumstances, at our discretion.
Most classes are held in our classroom behind the shop (but some are in the shop itself). The entrance is off Onepu Road, between the Westpac Bank and the funeral home. You’re welcome to park behind the shop but please avoid the two spaces against the fence labelled “KIP”.
If you’re bringing your own sewing machine or overlocker, don’t forget the foot control, power cord and feet. Please make sure that it's in good working order - we’re happy to check it for you but you’ll need to bring it into the shop at least a week before the class. We also have a limited number of machines that you can borrow on the day but please let us know well in advance.
If it says “Add to Wish List”, this means the class is full. To go on the waiting list, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and contact phone number.
