Pre-Christmas Classes!

We’re offering two options for fun and practical classes between now and Christmas!

Our two wonderful tutors – Jess Robbie and Vincent Konrad - are offering end of year classes that will be fun and useful. You’ll learn new skills as you increase your Christmas present collection!

In each class you will be guided to machine sew one or more gifts, and take home instructions for whichever you don’t get to do in class. For the Beginners’ Class you can choose from a classic round pin cushion and a reusable gift bag. For the Colleagues’ Class you can also make a felt needlebook for storing needles in safety and style.

Option 1: End of year work colleagues’ social machine sewing class

The Colleagues’ Class is for 6 people who work together or otherwise know each other. Come along for 3 productive and sociable hours and make one, two, or three of these handy items. (The number of items completed will depend on each person’s aptitude and attitude!) At least 3 of the attendees in this class need to have done some machine sewing before and be ready to help their beginner colleagues, if needed. We‘ll supply all the fabric and other things needed, including sewing machines, tea and biscuits and our 2 expert tutors. You can bring additional refreshments, if desired.

Cost of the Colleagues Class $400 (flat fee) for up to 6 people

We have a range of dates available to book your session:

2pm to 5pm:

Tuesday 22 or 29 November, 6, 13, or 20 December

Thursday 24 November, 1, 8, or 15 December

2pm to 5pm OR 4pm to 7pm

Friday 25 November, 2, 9, or 16 December

Option 2: Beginners’ machine sewing class

The other class is a Beginner Machine Sewing Class where between 4 and 6 beginners make the pin cushion and/or the craft bag. We supply all materials, machines, tea and biscuits and our 2 expert tutors.

Cost of Beginners Class is $70 per person

The times we can offer this class are the same as above, and we need at least four people enrolled to go ahead.
