About Us

Our motto is Do What You Love - and we love what we're doing!

Jo Morris bought the business in 2016 and our dedicated team of crafty folk has worked jolly hard ever since to introduce a computerised point of sale system that's linked to a new website, and to modernise and refocus our huge stock of machines, yarn, fabrics, haberdashery, craft supplies and more.

In April 2019, we moved to our new premises at 40 Coutts Street, next to the Westpac Bank. Our new shop is smaller and much easier to  manage and we have a separate building behind the shop which is a terrific classroom. We also have five dedicated car parks and, outside business hours - which is when most of our classes are scheduled   - we can use the adjacent Westpac spaces.

Classes are a vital part of our business. We bring in other tutors to run our regular classes in knitting, crochet, patchwork, embroidery, computerised machine skills, and more. We're always open to organising other classes that our customers ask for!

Our machine repair and service work is done by a technician based off site. We take a $50 deposit for service/repair work, which comes off the final cost. We can access new machine parts and accessories for more modern machines of the 7 brands that we sell. (Getting parts for machines over 20 years old is not always possible.)

We're always interested in feedback from customers about the shop, the website, things you'd like us to have in stock, classes you'd like us to run -  whatever you want us to do differently to help you Do What You Love.
