We currently only offer classes for adults, though we will take older children (early teens) in some classes with a chaperone. Please email classes@sewingdirect.co.nz if you are interested.
How to Enrol: Click on the class you want to do. If there are multiple dates scheduled select the one you want, fill in any other information requested (such as whether you need to borrow a machine for a beginner class), click "Add to Cart" and follow the payment instructions. If a class says “Add to Wish List”, this means the class is full. To go on the waiting list or if you have any questions, email classes@sewingdirect.co.nz with your name and contact phone number.
Classes in a covid environment: Keeping everyone safe is still our priority. We expect students to be vaccinated and support the wearing of masks in the classes to protect those who are at risk or have vulnerable family members at home. Please contact us immediately if you have Covid symptoms and have to isolate.
Terms and Conditions
All classes need a minimum number of enrolments to go ahead. If we need to cancel, we'll contact you and offer a full refund or a transfer to another class. If you cancel, as long as you let us know at least 5 working days in advance, we'll refund you minus a 10% admin fee or transfer you to another class.
If you pay but don't attend, or cancel fewer than 5 days in advance, we regret that a refund or transfer will only be made in exceptional circumstances, at our discretion.
*If you’re bringing a sewing machine or overlocker, please make sure that it’s in good working order. If you’re not sure, bring it into the shop at least a week before and we can check it out.
